I noticed, that categories from Custom POIs or provided by maps, cannot be sorted, while all other items in "Where To?" can be sorted. Bug? Feature? Works by design? Using firmware 8.20.

Thus far, this has been by design on most newer devices, not just the Montana 7x0. There are many 'categories' for this list, and invariably, some will not always be available due to installed maps and POI files, etc., so the device must have control over the 'order' in which they are indexed and displayed.

But some sort of mechanism seems to exist? I mean, for example "Routes" or "Tracks" are only shown as main menu in "Where To?", if you have at least one route or track installed. Even, if you have none for both, so both categories are not shown, you can still sort them in the sort menu. I would expect, that this would be at least possible for "Custom-POIs". But I guess, this is, for Garmin, just a wish, which will never happen.

I forgot to answer here, that Garmin replied to me and said, this is by design and won't be changed.
