Just figured out this by accident.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Create some adventure in BaseCamp containing at least one route.
2) Transfer it to GPS.
3) Start GPS and delete adventure.
4) Go to 'Route Planer'
5) You can now see, that the Route, which was inside the delete adventure, is still shown.
6) If you try now to load it and click 'view map', the whole device just powers off.

After reboot, the route is correctly gone from 'Route Planer'.

Garmin Adventures were never intended to contain 'Routes', only Tracks (one required), Waypoints, Photos and Geocaches. Routes were never fully integrated or supported before Garmin threw in the towel and killed the Adventures website and project all together, which I will go to my grave believing was a huge mistake on their part. But.... BaseCamp will allow you to save routes inside an Adventure, which I suspect is a long running bug.

Solution: Do not include any routes in your adventures. None of the GPSr will display them in the Adventure interface. If you want/need some related routes, send them separately.

Fine for me. Tbh, I am not really using adventures, so this was just by acciedent, that I noticed that and don't see a problem with. But: Montana 700 series shows included routes in the imported adventure.

I actually have an old adventure that had routes included by accident, and they do not appear in the Adventure Content on my Montana 750i.

It seems my memory has played a trick on me It was photos, which I somehow rembered as routes. No clue why.

Now that's funny. Since I also wrote to Garmin, I received two different reply's.
One told me, that Adventure is not supported anymore and this will be not fixed. The other one told me now, that this is submited for a review.

They only know that which they are told...

Problem still exists in latest firmware 8.20. I am not sure, if Garmin will this fix, but internal ticket is still on review.

Crash still exists with 8.40.
