Garmin announced a BirdsEye Made Better update in February of 2020, promising newer, clearer, and more vivid enhanced satellite terrain imagery with better, more consistent coloring. We collected some random examples of the new and improved BirdsEye satellite imagery for comparison, and found the differences between Garmin BirdsEye satellite imagery from 2014 vs 2020 very disappointing. The new for 2020 imagery appears washed out and lacks the detail present in our previous downloads.
