Imported Routes can't be used in GPS simulation mode [Bug 46]

Did anyone noticed, that it's impossible to start an imported route (for example created with BaseCamp), if GPS is in simulation mode? While this works, if just a simple A->B route via 'Find' is started, and the question comes, if this route should be started in GPS simulation mode, this question doesn't show up with an imported route. So it can't be started.
I am a little bit confused, why this doesn't work, since all other Garmin devices (GPSMap 276Cx, Zumo 595, Zumo XT, Montana 610) known to me just support that.

Garmin replied and confirmed, that they can reproduce that issue and created an internal ticket for that.

Problem still exists in latest firmware 8.20.

Still not able to simulate imported routes with firmware 9.20.

Still not working with firmware 10.50. Seems also not to work for 'Courses'.
