We believe this issue has been resolved with Firmware release 10.50 - Please advise if you still experience this behavior after updating and retesting!

Yep will do, I will update it then test at the earliest opportunity, probably around the weekend.
Garmin emailed me today mentioning the freezing/redraw issue should be fixed with this update.

This has been fixed, as it seems with 10.50. Walking slowly now refreshes correctly.

Finally had the time to test my 700 for the redraw/freezing issue.
I can confirm that it is now fixed and rotates the map around as expected
Guidance Text issue still remains but will hopefully be fixed in the future.
