I did extensive research on the Fenix 7, Edge 1040 and the GPSMAP 67. I posted the results as a blog on my site.

I bought a second hand GPSMAP 66sr and I am going to conduct a comparison between the GPSMAPs.

Average error on the GPSMAP 66sr is 0.54 m, on the GPSMAP 67 is 0.74. Circle indicates the CPE. Seems to confirm your finding.
