Does that also mean, that Garmin won't release any new TOPO maps for one-time-buy? I mean, for example, those TOPO Pro maps.
I wouldn't read anything like that into this.
Outdoor Maps+ is simply a new subscription based service that allows users to access premium Garmin map content directly from compatible devices.

Great, that sounds good, if that's just an additional map product

I have the new firmware 14.80 and tried to load additional Birdseye imagery and now it is prompting me to Setup Bluetooth and pair it with a Garmin app on my phone. I previously only used wifi to acquire the imagery.
Setup>Map>Map Manager>Outdoor Maps+ > add Satellite Imagery > This feature is not available until Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are set up. "Bluetooth Set up" button becomes available. The Garmin site only mentions that a wifi connection is required.
Is this a new requirement? Is anyone else seeing this?

Just one of many many bugs in 14.80 unfortunately.
Outdoor Maps+ uses Wi-Fi only to download Map data.

Is it possible to make this downloaded satellite imagery invisible? I only see the option "Delete".

GPSrChive > Montana 7x0 > Main Menu > Map Manager > Outdoor Maps+ > Option Menu > Configure Maps
Or use the Map Layer Menu on the Map page.
