Firmware 8.20. Creating Time of file system was 09.02.2022.

I assume you will update it, perform a master reset, and then make a full device backup before making any changes?

Already done ;-) Just waiting for Garmin, to assign my purchased maps from old to new device.
Hardware revision is unchanged, still V6.

What do Garmin do when they replace your GPS?
Do you get a brand new or used but renovated device?

Standard Operating Procedure in the USA is to provide the customer with a refurbished device, which many people actually prefer, as they have been inspected and tested by a human. I have never been able to identify any difference between the refurbished devices I have received vs a new device. On occasion, when supplies are low, you may actually receive a new device.

In case of the germany department, you will get in 99% of all times a boxed brand new device (same as you would buy in a store). This was the case for all my replacements I got.
