I have heard a similar rumor...

In the firmware 10.50 update the following was included:

Fixed possible issues with live geocache lists.

I'm still seeing a failure on some Geocaches despite multiple attempts at using Geocaching Live in the same area. My video evidence still reflects post firmware 10.50. The only update I could see was that it pre-loads all the caches near to you despite having removed all local live data.

We suspect this was referencing a bug with the GCLive 'PQ Lists', not the GCLive Map operation....
