Still crashes in firmware 9.20.

It looks like, this could be a hardware issue, not software issue. My replacement 750i, which I got though RMA, does not have this issue. After choosing "AutoLocate Position", when partitial or full GPS fix is avialable, it does not crash. Instead, it goes just to main menu.

Could still be a system setup corruption issue.
Your previous unit was never 'Factory Reset' and tested again before sending it back, and that may have resolved this also, which would have indicated a device configuration issue.
At this point, we just can not be sure of either.

Maybe, I guess, we won't know for sure. At least we can say, that this crash issue is not a general problem, which affects everyone.
Could be this also a side effect, that my new 750i does flash for a moment during turn on, while my older 750i never did this?

Since you just recently received the 'replacement' device, please do not spend too much time configuring options until after the next firmware update. After that is installed, please perform a device reset and then begin configuring options as preferred.

Ok. I haven't started yet any configuration work expect some basic settings. Will wait then. With device reset, you mean the normal master reset?

How do I Master Reset my Montana 7x0?
- Power the Montana 7x0 off.
- Remove battery pack for >30 seconds and reinstall.
- Press and hold the Power button until the Status LED turns red.
- Release the Power button.
- The Montana 7x0 is now in 'Boot Block' mode, which last about 8 seconds.
- Quickly press and release the Power button twice.
- The Status LED will turn green, and the device will begin the boot process.
- A "Restoring settings and activities to defaults." message will be displayed.
- The Montana 7x0 is now clearing all data and restoring all settings to factory defaults.

If you mean me, that I didn't to a master reset on old unit? Then nope. I did a master reset and this problem was still occurring on old device.

Still not able to reproduce with firmware 10.50

So I guess a local problem with my old device.

Hm, thats interesseting. With my newest 750i from RMA, I am able to reproduce this issue again. I also noticed, that my LED does not flash, when powering on my Montana. But LED itself works, when using camera or flashlight app. Maybe both points are related together?
