I was hoping, that this maybe could be fixed by the new gps firmware, but still present in 13.10 for me.
Beeline Moto II (FW 4.2.560, HW 9.5.2)
Garmin DriveSmart 86 MT-D (FW 8.00, HW V8, GPS 9.00.50, 32GB SD)
Garmin Montana 750i (FW 23.30, HW V6, GPS 2.90, Touchscreen 85.07, ​64GB SD)

Surprisingly, I am not able to reproduce with 14.80, as it does not freeze.
