Powers off after software update

Hi All
Plugged in my 700i to my Windows pc and did an update for the latest software with garmin Express.
The unit swiched off and came on for an instant and switched off again
When I power on the red light appears GARMIN writing comes on than fades away and powers off.
Unable to see it as USB device on Windows explorer, or Garmin express.

I have tried to do a hard reset by pressing the power button until red light comes on and than 2 quick press and release the power button.The green light comes on and the unit powers down again.

Many years ago I had a simular problem with my oregon 550 and Garmin send me couple recovery files and managed to restore it.
Is there such recovery software for the 700i.
Any help will be apprieciated.

Yes I have tried everything.
The unit turns off few seconds after power switch is pressed.
Contacted Garmin and they will replace the unit under warranty.

You had not indicated that you performed the RGN Firmware Installation listed there, that's why I asked.

While the replacement device will not have the same issue when it arrives, I suspect the above procedure would have resolved the problem on your current device.

I didn't perform a RGN software because the unit will switch off after 2-3 seconds when it was powered on.
I thought in order to perform the RGN firmware update the unit should stay on.
Perhaps it could have work I would never know.
I will keep this in mind for next time if it happens again.
