Replacement power port for 62s

Unread post by dezzracer »

My charging power mini USB port is bad. I found a cell phone place that can solder a new one in but I need to find an exact replacement and I’ve had no luck. Any ideas.

Hi, I have several 60, 62 and 64 series models in parts after customers have donated wrecked units. However I'm working away from home for at least another 6 weeks so won't be able to send anything (from New Zealand) before then. It would be a used part of course. If you still need one after 6 weeks get in touch.

According to the USB specification, durability for USB mini-B connectors shall be 5000 insertion/extraction cycles. So I think the better idea would be to source the replacement part from known global distributors like Digi-Key, Mouser, etc. In that way you can get the part of a reputable brand like Molex, TE Connectivity. Not a cheap no-name substitution likely used in mobile phones.
