Retaining 'Next Stage' Info
I've been using a Monterra for several years and if I wanted to add a stage or stages to a geocache it was easy to do and would be persistent even if I switched to another cache or target(waypoint) because it was saved with the geocache info. Then when I go again with that cache it asks me which waypoint I want to use, whether it is one of the published waypoints or my custom waypoints. Is there a way to do that on a Montana 700?

Re: Retaining 'Next Stage' Info
I get to the Next Stage screen but do not see a save waypoint command. Is this profile related? I am on Hiking but I get the same if on Geocaching. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what to tell you.
The instructions with pictures are very clear at the links provided above.
I can not see your screen or workflow....

Sorry, I had a brainf@rt. I see the process now. However, I see it as next stage becomes an independent waypoint, meaning I will never see it as an additional (child) waypoint from the geocache page.

Only child waypoints loaded with the geocache will appear in the geocache additional waypoints menu. This can be done directly from groundspeak webpage, or via GCLive, or even via GSAK (or similar).
The geocache Additional Waypoints menu is a very new feature, just added to most devices in the last few months. Prior to this, all child waypoints simply appeared with all other waypoints on the map and in the waypoint manager list.

Hello,
I don't have a Montana 700, I am still trying how to convince the purse strings to loosen up.
in the mean time I am reading to understand the work flows.
After re-reading this thread, I like to think I understand the methodology.
On a slightly aside note, how do you add (OR change) a child waypoint on GC.com? I do it using GSAK, but never heard of it on GC.com. And I don't have a Montana 700 (YET) to try iy on.
Thanks!

Currently, you can only change the final (solution) coordinates on the GC webpage.
