Menu language

Unread post by venci67 »

Hello, can someone give me the original (English) file for the GPSMAP 67 menu.
I'm trying to fix our translation (Bulgarian) because it's quite bad, but for that I need the original file. I tried the other available languages, but they are not better than Bulgarian either.
I was left with the impression that all the translations were made by people who have no idea about this matter, and that's why the translations turned out to be quite funny.

English text is always on the device, English is a permanently implemented language.

If your device lacks an English text file, you can hide (change the name) the Text folder,
the device should start in English.

The English menu is available on the GPS, the text file (.gtt) in the Text folder is missing.
It will be easiest for me to open the two files (.gtt) in Notepad++, so I will get to the data I need the fastest. I manage without it but much more slowly ;) .

English language version file - do you want to use it when translating to the national language :?:

English language is embedded in device software.

The national language file contains sequences in English and sequences in the national language,
by modifying the file you can leave the translation that you consider appropriate,
correct the translation you consider imprecise.
