GPSmap 76CSx Support?

I just posted this in another thread dealing with the new Garmin NT (2025.10 ver.) City update for Windows but I figured I better mention it here in the thread that actually had 76Csx in the OP.

I did manage to download a complete map of my home state with very up to date address and street data bases as well as all the amenities...I was surprised (and impressed). The map contains neighborhoods that are quite new even by my timekeeping.

It works perfectly on my outdated 76Csx which means I don't need to invest in a newer GPSr...my wife wouldn't mind the new equipment, the extra expenditure however....

On the site that we were discussing above "Open Street Map" it was quite easy to extract and download the "slice" of map I chose and ultimately transfer it to my receiver. I happily (and satisfactorily) made a donation since it does function like it was made for my GPSr and....maps aren't available anywhere else. Sorry Garmin someone else earned my money (this time).
