"Database Error" when marking a waypoint

Suddenly when I try to mark a waypoint with our GPSMAP 66sr Garmin GPS unit it will not mark the waypoint and the error message "Database Error" comes up.
I do not know if this has any. I work for the USDA-NRCS (U.S. Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservational Service) and our computers make us use bit locker encryption to be able to save anything to external drives or devices, but I have been clicking on do not encrypt since this is a shared unit so others do not need a code to use devise. With no bit locker encryption I have not been able to load data onto unit and only able to download data off unit using my computer.
I have been using the Garmin explore application on my smart phone to load GSP data onto the GPSMAP 66sr unit by syncing with Bluetooth.

Has Bit Locker been applied to the 66sr internal memory?
