Files EPO or CPE.

Unread post by mimichris »

Hello,
I wonder if the EPO and CPE files are calculated for a given country or place, because that can change everything if this is the case, the position of the satellites is not the same depending on a place to another very distant. Is that why he has a lot of problems with the reliability of Galileo satellites? Or else I am completely wrong ....

I found today that the trail after hiking on my 66sr is worse than my Twonav Trail2, in fact I found that the Glonass constellation was missing, I only had GPS and Galileo and still only had 4 GPS and 6 Galileo -Satellites.
In fact I forgot to connect it to Garmin Connect which downloads and updates the CPE.BIN file which contains the almanac of the satellites and therefore gives the position of the satellites over several days. However, if this file is too old, it will cause ingestion difficulties.
So don't forget to connect the 66sr to your smartphone from time to time.
