Excellent, you also have both mounts for testing.

Current release 8.40 not fixed. (Makes sense, as this was very shortly reported, so I guess, we will have to wait)

Garmin replied and said, this will be fixed in next 9.* firmware update. No ETA on release date.

This seems be fixed with firmware 9.20. I tested with car mount and it does now only shows battery charging, if this setting is chosen.

I have to revert. Option seems broken, as it now always turns on to battery charging screen, instead of Power on, if configured so.

It seems, after a master reset, it performs now correctly with firmware 9.20! Sorry for the noise.

Did your Montana 7x0 experience any crashes between when you first found this was working properly with 9.20 and when you noticed it was no longer working with 9.20?

Depends, I had 1-2 times the problem, that the Montana freezed as shutdown and you could see the power off symbol forever, so I to press power button for many seconds to turn off.

But basically, I noticed, after I had flashed 9.20 initally on my Montana, it started on some options to behave strange and options where not doing that, what they were supposted to do. So I did the master reset and those strange issue disappreared.
