Hi I accidentally formatted my Garmin etrex 30x and now it wont update or recognized correctly with/by bascamop.
I tride to pot an update file on the sd card and on the formatted device storage but I this didn't work.
Does anybody has an idea for something that works?

Does Garmin Express recognize it when connected to your computer?

Do you have any backup files created prior to this happening that can help restore the device?

Since you have already formatted it, do so again and make certain it is formatted FAT32, not exFAT.

Sadly I do not have any back ups

Garmin Express recognize it but wants that I use webupdate

I formatted it as FAT32 but this didn't help.

Where did you put the update file and what was it named? It has to be in a folder named Garmin and named gupdate.gcd

Yes I punted it in to the Garmin folder and named it correctly I also tried punting it on to the sd card

Where did you get the update file from? Are you sure it's the correct one for your device?

I used the update file that I downloaded from the garmin website.
