Memory?
How does one find out how much memory is available on the 66st? It doesn't say it on the status screen, and also not on the diagnostic screen (old test mode). I'm asking because I would like to decide whether or not to get 24k maps on a card or by download. Thanks!

Connect to a computer and check device properties...

Re: Memory?
Thank you.
I forgot to also ask if accessing map data on a card is slower than main memory, or is that minimal and not noticeable?

Re: Memory?
I put all my maps and other data on microSD cards in all my GPSr with no noticeable affect.
The reason for doing so is that should any of my files become corrupted and create a crash or lock-up of the GPSr in the field, I can remove the microSD card, reboot the device, and still have an operational GPSr until such time I can return home and correct the issue on the microSD card.
If you store your personal files on the GPSr internal memory and this occurs, you are stuck with a fancy looking battery holder until such time you can get home to correct the issue, which can be even more aggravating when the corrupted file is in the GPSr internal memory!
