Map shows waypoint icon without actual waypoint

On software version 3.04. Sometimes the map screen shows the (rather large) waypoint icon while there is no actual saved waypoint for that location. It seems to be related to loading a course and navigation, but I haven't been able to consistently reproduce this. Anyone else seeing the same?

And to add to this, the device sometimes actually saves a waypoint without having pressed the Mark button. Also seems related to loading a Course.

You have to zoom in real close and ever so carefully select the very bottom point of the huge annoying blue flag balloon marker to find the 'hidden waypoint' that is not otherwise displayed.

It seems to be combination of an Explore app issue and a Map glance caching issue.

When you create a Course in Explore app (version 4.7.1 on iOS), a regular course point is added directly after the start course point, at the same location. All other course points in the course are shaping points from building the course.

When you navigate this course, this extra course point is shown with the "balloon", which is expected. If you stop navigation and return to the default home screen, the Map glance still shows the balloon of this erroneous course point (and other course point icons). Switching to the Map page and back to the Home screen clears the course point icons.

Also the H1 seems to display an additional default course point icon on top of the finish of the course.
