A major issue with 9.38 has been reported in UK with a recommendation not to install it.
I installed 9.38 and most of the IMG maps on the uSD card became invisible. Although my IMG maps were still listed in Map Manager, when selected, they were not displayed. I manually reverted back to the previous firmware (9.35) and map visibility was instantly restored and my 67i is working as normal.
According to the link above (GPS Training is a major UK Garmin handhelds retailer) Garmin UK are aware of the problem and been able to replicate the issue.
