editing a waypoint from the map takes a very long time [Bug 23]

Unread post by FMercier »

editing a waypoint from the map takes a verry long time:
selecting the point and it is diaplaying on the screen, the pressing menu and "enter" for "editing waypoint" then (on my gpsmap 67) it takes about two minutes or more(only feeling) till I could editing the waypoint....
at the first time, this is happend, I thought the gpsmap is breaking down but now I know I must wait a long, long time....
picking a waypoint from the calender it is normal speed (fast) - picking a point from the list or map its verry slow....

I wonder nobody noticed this (?)....

greetings from germany

Mine is the same when editing a way points. Sometimes you go to review waypoint and it takes ages to load it where you can change the name of it. Then other times it's ok.

Mine is on 5.30 for the record

We are currently running firmware v5.90 on our GPSMAP 67 and have been unable to duplicate.

Please advise if you are still able to duplicate after installing firmware v5.90 and retesting.

I've not got the 5.90 update on express yet, once I get the update I'll confirm if it still does this.

Much improved with update 5.90. It was annoying before for sure.

Can also confirm that on 5.90 it is faster but it still takes quite a long time (10 - 15 seconds) after clicking the Edit Waypoint option.

Mine is taking less than a second. I can't even time it on a stopwatch. How are you accessing the waypoint?

The time it takes is the same whether I access the waypoint from the Main Menu or from the Find menu. Only tried one waypoint so not sure if all waypoints take a long time.
