LiveTrack Failure [Bug 14]

Unread post by mimichris »

The Live Track does not work with the 67, it always asks to "start an activity" but this one is well started, I read on Facebook two other owners of 67 have the same problem, another bug.

What steps are you performing? In order to determine whether something is a bug, more details on how to reproduce are needed :)

I just tried and started a LiveTrack from the Garmin Connect app (on iOS). Bluetooth enabled and connected. This results in a message on the unit that LiveTrack has started and an eye icon is shown in the status bar.

The recipient I have configured receives an email with the LiveTrack link. Only issue I had that the LiveTrack web page showed a message that no location data was available, but I did not investigate and test any further.

Exact same problem the PC Live Track map has no information, as if the activity was not started

You checked it with 66sr at the same time. Perhaps there is a problem with the third-party provider, and not with the device itself.

The test I did with the 66sr is with the same supplier, I only have one.

I can confirm the same issue with my new 67i device. I also can see only the map and the message 'no location data available' on the screen of my PC although live-track in the 'Connect app" and "Activity recording' on my device (manually) were started. I currently don't use the option of automatical activity recording.

Device software 5.30 does not seem to fix this issue, I still get "No Location Data" on the Garmin LiveTrack web page.

I tried twice this morning and on my 67 it works. I launch a track then I launch Live Track, I get an email telling me to open the map and I see my track. Whereas before I had a message that he was not receiving info.

I wrote a little fast, in fact the Live Track works half the time, it is not reliable. Either it works or I get a message that it is not receiving any position data. Same with my 66sr.
