Interesting (but not unexpected) to see Garmin is also offering the Outdoor Maps+ offering with the GPSMAP 67. Maybe it will be coming to the GPSMAP 66 series as well?

The battery seems to be the same. Battery life is due to less demand.
See the new eTrex SE uses traditional AA and also has a longer energy range.
This means hardware or software changes. Maybe both.
If it is software then the 66sr could have such an update.

Hardware changes primarily, which also requires new software.

Not backward compatible.

So do you already own a GPSMAP 67? Did you notice some changes about the speed through scrolling the map or is there some major improvement to have Beidou on board?

The UI at timecode 2:25 looks like a shrunk 1:1 Montana 7x0 UI?
