I can't reproduce this with data on the SD card or on the device, my data persists. I have 1 ggz file and 3 gpx files. I just power off normally each time with a long hold of the power button.

Do you have any GCLive data loaded? Perhaps that is the trigger. We have GCLive data loaded, and can reproduce this almost every time.

I have no GCLive data loaded. I will try and load some and see whether I can reproduce.

We are still trying to determine exactly what triggers the data loss. We load GCLive data (have GGZ and GPX files loaded also), choose a GCLive cache, navigate to it, stop navigation, take some screen captures, and power cycle the device to find all Geocache data no longer indexed, No Geocaches Available, and the Geocache Filter Files shows 'No Data Loaded' instead of "4/4 files" etc....

I have loaded some GCLIve data but still no caches are deleted. My device is a basic 700, could that be relevant?

Seems our Oregon 7x0 just didn't like the firmware 5.20 update for some reason, and was exhibiting a number of issues we were unable to correct until we finally threw in the towel and master reset the device, starting over completely fresh, and we are happy to report it is behaving much more like it's old self again!

That includes the vanishing geocache data, too?
Fine! Then I will dare to update this evening... ;)
