Re: Montana 610/680 Firmware 3.40

Thank you! Bug 07 has been posted on the Common Issues page, but we still need everyone to report this bug to Garmin as outlines at the top of that page (call them, email them, and post to social media)! Development for the Montana is not a high priority, but if enough of us report this bug, they wi...

Re: 24K Maps

Thanks for all the info gpsrchive and ivhs72. I don't understand the purpose of being able to accept a 32 GB micro sd card, only to loose all that by using a Garmin map card. That's why most people don't buy maps preloaded on a micro-SD card! (unless it work for their intended purpose) Also what ha...

Re: 24K Maps

It is locked to the microSD card. You can still get the 24k topo maps on DVD, and then you can load them to the actual GPSr. I was able to get all of them on DVD, but Garmin doesn't sell them anymore, and they're becoming harder and harder to find. Excellent suggestion.... ebay may be your best bet!

Re: 24K Maps

You still haven't said which map card you have. TOPO US 24K Southwest micro sd card. Ah, TOPO US 24K Southwest (Part Number: 010-C1134-00). Those maps are locked to the uSD card. The most current version of those maps that I am aware of still uses 10 year old data. Are you interested in any other T...

Re: 24K Maps

Which 24k maps are you referring to? Did they come preloaded on a Garmin uSD card?

Re: Trip odometer in Expedition mode

I found many issues with the Expedition Mode function when the unit was new, and have yet to revisit them, so thank you for the reminder!

As this is a completely new feature, I will not be too harsh while they get it figured out 8^)

BEWARE: GPS Chipset Type M5 (1621) Update v4.40

After performing the recently published Firmware v3.00 update on my GPSMAP 64sc, Garmin Express 6.12.0.0 soon indicated another update was available, this time for GPS Chipset Type M5 (1621) software version 4.40 (as of April 23, 2018). So, naturally, I let Garmin Express install this update also an...
