I thought it a little odd that the when the GPSMAP 66s was launched the specification published on the Garmin website for the number of supported Custom Map tiles was only 100 when the GPSMAP 64 line supports 500 tiles.

I've seen the 100 tile limit mentioned in a few places since, for example:

However, the Garmin site web is now specifying that 500 tiles are supported:

I created a Custom Map with 495 tiles and can report that it is displayed correctly on my 66s (OS 4.20/ GPS 2.80).

We also thought it was low, but do not have enough custom maps to verify.

What custom map do you have with so many tiles?
