Hi.
As a new user I spent quite a lot of time to get familiar with my Montana 650 with Topo maps.
Questions that arose is Setup and their parameters, Main Menu and which applications.
An overview of all the Setup Parameters makes changes easier – see attachment.

So, here is an overview of my personal settings for Topo maps on my Montana 650 which you can correct according to your taste.
Maybe it could help some newbies to get started.

Profile
New Profile Topo1 with Main menu:
Map
Where To
Compass
Mark Waypoint
Waypoint Manager (Shortcut)
Sight’N Go (Shortcut)
Route Planner (Shortcut)
Track Manager (Shortcut)
Trip Computer (Shortcut)
Shortcuts
I use Shortcuts instead of moving applications from submenu to Main menu.
Reset
‘Factory Reset’ and ‘Reset All Settings’ looks similar and does the following:
Gives profile ‘Recreational’ and settings are completely new.
‘Factory Reset’ keeps Tracks, Shortcuts and Photos.
Waypoints
User Waypoints can be selected on the map with a red arrow.
Photos taken on a spot is also treated as a User Waypoint.
User Waypoints is the alfa-omega for Topo Maps using Where To.
