Unable to Delete Track Error

When my Garmin 6X0 is plugged into Basecamp and it downloads the data it says there is an error in a track file from 2017. It will now not update my maps or communicate with Satellites. I have tried a hard reset and deleted all saved files but it is still there. Do you know how to get rid of this... Hope you can help! Thanks

Tracks are stored as GPX files in the \Garmin\GPX\ directory on the device and microSD card when inserted.

Rename the Montana 6x0 'GPX' directory or directories to something like 'GPXold' or 'GPXskip' and reboot the device.

The first startup process may take awhile if there are a large number of GPX files in the renamed directories, give it time to finish.

Retest and report your results.

Thank-you, I have now got rid of the track but get the following error when attempting to update maps with my Maps Install software and my GPS will not locate satellites. Am I fighting a losing battle....

Can you see all files and folders on device when connected to PC?

What version MapInstall?

I have searched the Montana and can't find a MAPINSTALL file. I have purchased Trak Maps an was installing using their APP. The MAPInstall software launches and that is where I get the error. I also have Garmin Express on my computer The unit will also not locate satellites.

Based on the information you are providing, it appears you have an issue with MapInstall.

Please make sure you have the most current version installed.

I cannot locate it in the directory when I search the unit. It says the disc image file for gmaptz and gmapbmap files are corrupted as well. Can I delete deleted the OS from the unit and reinstall to start fresh.

Use Garmin Express to see if any updates are available for the Montana.
