Hello. Today I ran into another problem in the 7.20 firmware.
I set the approach signal and when entering the radius of the signal, the navigator completely turned off again.
This is for information, it may be useful to someone. For myself, I made the final conclusion that the 7.20 firmware is not working. There is nothing like this on firmware 6.00. There were doubts about the correctness of the decision to replace my 64 with this "miracle" - 66.

Здравствуйте. Сегодня столкнулся ещё с одной проблемой в прошивке 7.20.
Устанавливал сигнал сближения и при вводе радиуса подачи сигнала, навигатор снова полностью отключился.
Это для информации, может пригодится кому то. Для себя сделал окончательный вывод, что прошивка 7.20 не рабочая. На прошивке 6.00 ничего подобного нет. Появились сомнения в правильности решения замены моего 64 на это "чудо"- 66.
Вам тем не менее спасибо. Хоть есть с кем поделиться.

Can you share how you created the proximity alert, for which waypoint, and maybe share the GPX file for others to test?

A video would be even better. Garmin software engineers can not ignore good video.

Hello. The problem is stable. The procedure is as follows:

1) Menu - twice
2) Proximity signals - ENTER
3) Create signal - ENTER
4) Interesting places - ENTER
5) Attractions - ENTER
6) You can select any point - ENTER
7) Next -ENTER
8) On the page for entering the radius, joystick down and ... turn off the navigator.

I checked it many times, it does not matter if the sd card is in the navigator or not.
The file was added as I could. Unfortunately, it will not work to make a video.

Здравствуйте. Проблема стабильна. Порядок действий такой:
1) Меню - дважды
2) Сигналы сближения - ENTER
3) Создать сигнал - ENTER
4) Интересные места - ENTER
5) Достопримечательности - ENTER
6) Можно выбрать любую точку - ENTER
7) Далее -ENTER
8) На странице ввода радиуса, джойстик вниз и... отключение навигатора.
Проверял много раз, без разницы стоит ли в навигаторе sd карта или нет.
Файл добавил как смог. Видео сделать к сожалению не получится.

When creating a proximity alerts based on a waypoint or a custom POI it works, but not when using a map point.
This feels strange since the unit creates a waypoint and adds the proximity when a map point is selected (amusement type or other).
Let's hope it is soon solved.

It seems much stranger to me that on firmware 6.00 there are no such shutdown problems. As soon as the second problem with disabling the navigator came to light. I rolled back to firmware 6.00. I checked everything again, there are no problems with disabling similar problems on firmware 7.20. This is really weird. The update should, in theory, improve, but in this case it just broke what worked fine.
Let's hope they fix it. The question is when, and whether they will fix it at all.

Мне кажется гораздо более странным то, что на прошивке 6.00 этих проблем с отключением нет. Как только выявилась вторая проблема с отключением навигатора. Я откатился на прошивку 6.00. Всё проверил снова, нет проблем с отключением подобных проблемам на прошивке 7.20. Вот это действительно странно. Обновление должно по идее улучшать, а в данном случае просто сломало то, что нормально работало.
Да будем надеяться что исправят. Вопрос когда, и исправят ли вообще.
