A small thing, but clear:
I have set it in Recording - Advanced Setup
Output Format: FIT and GPX
GPX Auto Archive: Daily
After starting the device the next day in the Garmin\GPX\Archive\Auto folder, a file such as 2020-04-11 10.01.23 Day.gpx will be created. The track in each such file contains the last point that does not belong to a given day, eg 2020-04-11, but this point is from the next day. If in the meantime changed the position of the device or more days passed, it will affect the properties of the track, such as length or elapsed time.
It doesn't matter the firmware version, it's the same in year old files and until now (4.10).

No, I use daily GPX, the oldest one is 20080224.gpx.

For what it's worth, I had some issues with auto archive on the 66 as well - not exactly the same, but somewhat similar - https://www.gpsrchive.com/Discussion/vi ... f=36&t=397

This issue appears to be resolved with firmware 4.70.

Yes, I confirm that it now works as I expect.
Just the resulting file {date time} Day.gpx is no longer saved in the \Garmin\GPX\Archive\Auto folder (as described at https://www.gpsrchive.com/GPSMAP/GPSMAP ... lders.html), but only in \Garmin\GPX\Archive.

Re: Last point in Archive Auto .GPX file [Bug 82]
Good catch!
Not sure exactly when that changed, as some of my GPSMAP 66 devices have auto-archived GPX files in both directories!
Those who have a ' \Garmin\GPX\Archive\Auto\' directory on the GPSr will find auto-archived GPX files in it. Those who do not have that folder on their GPSr will find them in the ' \Garmin\GPX\Archive\' directory.
