Notes

Hej, is it possible to add an option to write notes on the gps.
Thru add a feature t. e. on the ribbon, so you can write down coordinates or all kind of stuff in your gps.
Is also possible on the Monterra.
Thanks

For the GPSMAP 66 there are some Widgets that allow creation of notes on a host computer for later viewing on the GPSr, but nothing yet with exceptional functionality (there are some excellent note widgets for Garmin watches however....).

Nothing like this for the Montana (that I am aware of).

You can press the MARK button to create a new waypoint. Here is a Note field where you can write anything, unfortunately only 63 characters long. You can also use a waypoint name field of 29 characters. The current coordinates are also here, you can edit them. There is also the current date and time.

Yes i now, but what i am asking for is sort of "post it".
So that you can make notes off all kind in the field.
On my monterra i had en app, you wrote something in it and then "pin to statusbar".
I now it is not possible to pin something in the statusbar on a 66, but it would be nice if there was a feature to make notes.
