Compass Status Display

Unread post by robert »

You can turn the Heading/Compass off in the settings to reduce power consumption. But there seems to be no indication in the Compass Page to indicate that the sensor is currently disabled. Which doesn't seem very user friendly or am I missing something?

Suggest a line through the compass, or grayed out or text saying sensor off?

While the 3D compass can be disabled, the compass page will continue to show heading while the unit is moving, just like every GPSr before it that was not equipped with a 3D compass.

It is quite easy to determine the 3D compass has been disabled, as the display will not change indicated direction when rotating the device while at a standstill.
