On the 64 the user is able to set the recording interval of tracks. On the 66 we only have the following options
Most Often
More Often
Normal
Less Often
Least Often
Does anybody know what rates these actual equate to? And are there any quantitative guidelines on the battery usage for each?

Re: Track Recording Interval
GPSMAP 66 > Setup > Recording
offers the user the option to record tracklogs by time, distance or 'auto' interval.
The values you posted are for when the 'Record Method' option is set to 'Auto'.
If you select either 'Time' or 'Distance' in 'Record Method', the device will prompt you to enter the desired time or distance to wait between tracklog points.

Re: Track Recording Interval
Just a follow up.
I am guessing that track every X Distance will not reduce power consumption as the unit will need to continually check the current delta distance.
But maybe on a time interval will?

Re: Track Recording Interval
Sounds logical, when using the 'time' option the unit is just going to plot a track point at every 'x' seconds interval, where as with the 'distance' option it will have to constantly check your current distance from the last track point.
Of course, longer intervals result in less detailed tracklogs!
