As I understand it EPO data will allow the 66 to get a satellite lock more quickly. This data is only valid for a period of time however. Is there anything on the unit which will tell me.
1) Whether I have valid EPO data loaded currently
2) When it was loaded or when it is likely to be out of date
3) How can I force a download of a new EPO package. Or does this only happen when there is a successful sync via express or connect? Will this always happen on a sync? How do I tell if has not happened?
Thanks

Re: EPO Data
While the only way I know of checking the EPO data timestamp is by connecting the GPSr to a computer and viewing the properties of the EPO.BIN file, I have always found it to be current.
The EPO.BIN file does require an internet connection to update, via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, as noted in the GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66 > Operation > Connected Features page.

Re: EPO Data
To answer question (1):
Navigate to Setup > About and scroll down a page with the minus key. The status of the EPO data is displayed.

Re: EPO Data
Excellent Find! Guess we should all read the fine print more often!
Thank You!
Added EPO Status information to the 'Connected Features' and 'Setup > About' pages!
