Track and Route Folders

Unread post by robert »

Is it possible to have Routes and Tracks created in Basecamp to be loaded into folders on the 66 so that there is no need to scroll through many items to find the one you want. There seems to be some functionality for an Archive folder but can't see a way to put user created items into a names folder.

Playing around with garmin explore this seems to work with the concept of collections rather than folders. Is it possible to tag entities (POIs, tracks, routes, etc) in Basecamp with a collections property which will then be used in explore and the 66 to filter/select groups of entities.

Garmin users have been asking for this capability for as long as I can remember.

Currently, all Garmin GPSr display routes, waypoints and tracks sorted either by proximity, alphabetically, or by symbol.

If you like the way collections work in Explore, you may soon have similar functionality with your GPSMAP 66.
