Feature request: Missing the accuracy circle over years

Unread post by g66 »

I am missing the accuracy circle over years - users of the 60csx will know the reason :D

Can anyone explain, why the programmers are not able to implement it again.
It was a great function to check the gps-accuracy within 1 Second :D

The circle uses both map resolution and GPS accuracy in definig your location to a point within the circle. The smaller the circle, the more accurate your location.

Yes, the much loved EPE (Estimated Positional Error) Ring.

Long gone (but not forgotten), Garmin have refused to include it in any outdoor/hiking GPSr since the GPSMAP 60 series.

I can not tell you why.

Yet it's still available on their auto units albeit via the developers menu :)
