Cursor with Position at the top of the triangle

I am using a cursor where the position is not in the middle of the triangle - the position is on the top of the triangle, which is more exact for the current position.

Just put the file in the folder vehicles
Setting is on map screen -
Menu - map setup - advanced setup - vehicle - zzz-cursor

(download link with potentially harmful *.exe file NOT allowed)

Download: zzz-CURSOR.srf

Its in german language, but pictures and sample.zip will tell everything.

Pointer "25.srf" is also fine.

For some time it has also annoyed me that the Garmin “Blue triangle” position indicator had the position at the centre of the triangle rather than at the tip, which sometime obscures detail needing one to zoom further in. Having come across a German blog about custom cursors, I subsequently discovered that Garmin calls them “Custom Vehicles” and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the cursor was easily changed and that GPSrChive already had a selection to choose from in the Über User > Custom Vehicle section.

My first trials have been using the Triangle with a Transparent Ring cursor as you can see from these screen shots of the blue version. I particularly like the position centre being displayed at the triangle tip:

The red version is also very visible:

You can also try some of the others.

I like to configure uniquely colored vehicles for each of my commonly used profiles so that a quick look at the map page reminds me which is currently active.
