GPSMAP 67 Firmware 8.30

GPSMAP 67 Firmware Update 8.30 released 15APR24:

Changes made from version 7.60 to 8.30:

• Added the Applied Ballistics app (Unlock in the AB Synapse - Garmin mobile app).
• Improved features related to Outdoor Maps+.
• Improved GPS Performance.

This update is being released in a "phased roll-out", and will be available to everyone soon.

Garmin Express offered me GPSMAP 67 device software version 8.30. As always no release notes on what has been changed or fixed (why Garmin, why?). Did not install yet so haven't verified any of the open issues yet.

As usual the update may not appear for everyone yet, due to staged roll out. Anyone who already installed it?

EDIT: after a chat with Garmin Support US, the update contains the following changes:

• Improved features related to Outdoor Maps+
• Improved GPS Performance

Installed it, no obvious problems yet. Don’t see much difference initially. Of all the suggestions they must get and noted issues, not much ever seems to change.

GPS Software Version has been updated to 11.02 (up from 2.46). Wireless Software and CIQ versions remain the same, 28.02 and 3.2.8 respectively.

The fact that GPSrChive > GPSMAP 67 > Common Issues shows the open issues as still open in 8.30 does not provide much confidence in Garmin having actually fixed any of the issues...

I don't mark any issues as fixed unless Garmin says they are fixed (and I have tested) or others test and indicate something is fixed.

The 'not fixed' reports are also very helpful!

Garmin does not publish but a fraction of the changes for each update any more.

I had hopes that you had inside information and therefore more info on what has actually been fixed and what not

But I'll update my bug report topics as I'm testing the update.

If I discover a bug is corrected but not listed by Garmin, the common issues page will be updated to reflect that!

BeiDou appears to be functioning properly on our GPSMAP 67 v830.

Beidou seems OK on my 67i with v8.3.
