Re: EPO expired

Tested and verified, Bug 71 has been added to Common Issue page. Thanks. I had noticed that my EPO was expired also and that it only updated when I connected to Express. I did not know it was supposed to update over wifi also but I know now it did not because I am connected to wifi often and it was...

Re: When does auto archive of tracks happen?

You are not the first Garmin user to upgrade multiple generations from an ancient GPSr like the 76 to the newest 66. Other than the brand name and a few small details, almost nothing functions as it did before, but that is all down to many years of innovation and improvement based on customer input...

66st Will Not Boot

I seem to have resolved this but it was concerning and I think it may have happened once before several months ago. So, I am posting just so any future searchers of this board with the issue might find what I had to do to fix. My 66 would start to boot then just shut down before competing. Tried sev...

Re: GPSMAP 66 GPS Software 2.70

In the meantime I have run Garmin WebUpdater and was able to force upgrade from 2.50 to 2.60. I was given no option to update to 2.70. I had set Express to never update automatically as I figured I would check for updates manually upon launching Express, (which I had done and still no update from 2....

Ditto - Vs.2.60 and Garmin Express says I'm up to date.
How did you get updated to 2.6 last month? Did it happen automatically through GE? Or some other method? Some of us are stuck at 2.5 for some reason.

Although I have the latest version (6.14.2.0) Garmin Express indicates I'm up to date, yet I'm also at GPS Software version 2.50.
Same for me. Wonder why mine has not updated to 2.60 at least?

Re: Firmware 3.00 update

It occurred to me that it simply hangs from the start, since the only way to shut it down is to remove batteries and even them some things vaguely showed on the screen. Yes was the same for me until I discovered accidentally that if I waited a longer time, it would eventually boot up. And yes when ...

Re: Firmware 3.00 update

I had the same issue with the boot didn't go any further than the loading waypoints screen. As I didn't found any solution for this, I though it was a hardware issue and sent it back and still using my reliable 64. Eager to hear whether or not the problem is fixed at your end with the new update (w...

Re: Elevation Spikes in Expedition Mode

need to determine what other mitigating factors were affecting your GPSMAP 66 those days. I will pay closer attention. The first time I saw this I just made an mental note that it seemed odd. The next time I then went back to some saved tracks in Basecamp and looked at the elevation profiles. On th...
